As well as choosing subjects, it is very important to consider the level of education you wish to achieve and the necessary entrance requirements for post-secondary programmes before finalising your learning plan. Those aiming for Bachelor or Diploma qualifications must check the approved subject list

  • English is compulsory to Year 11. Level 2 Literacy is required for entrance to university
  • Science and Mathematics are compulsory to Year 11. Fourteen credits at Level 1 Mathematics are required for entrance to university
  • English, Mathematics and Science are relevant subjects for the majority of occupations
  • Plan ahead when choosing subjects. Check the couse flow charts for each faculty to see how core subjects diversify and new subjects are introduced
  • This guide provides information about the subjects available to assist students and parents in making the right decisions about next year’s course of study

Notes

  • Some subjects involve the use of materials which students take home to keep. We have included the approximate level of fees in these subjects so that parents can budget accordingly
  • If families are unable to purchase subject work books, provision will be made for these students to have access to, and make limited use of, a copy of these materials
  • The school donation is $220.00 per student or $330.00 per family, over and above subject fees
