Hockey Girls winter tournament outstanding resultsd Print

Hockey_girls_team_tournamentThe Hockey girls competed for the Mary Clinton cup in Whakatane.  After pool play they were unbeaten and went into the playoffs with a high level of confidence.  After having to deal with 2 penalty shoot outs (winning one and losing the other) they ended in 3rdplace.  The fact that next year they only lose 1 player should mean continued success for this young team.

Football team tournament week Print

Football_team_tournament_weekThe football boys played out of their skins all week.  Before leaving, they thought that a top 8 finish would be a great result.  After beating strong Auckland and Wellington based teams who played at a higher level in their local comps, they boys believed anything was possible.  Friday saw them in the final facing rivals Northcote College.  Unfortunately they went down 2-1 ending the week as runners up.
