This innovative programme builds on the skills learnt in 10ART and 10ARD and is designed to extend a student’s understanding of art-making techniques and creative processes. Students will have the opportunity to produce work using digital and traditional art making methods. Students will develop artistic responses and interpretations to a broad theme and learn to generate, develop and clarify their ideas using a variety of art-making methods. The focus of this year is on introducing and developing conceptual ideas and skills for future Art subject specialisation. Students are reminded that there is a heavy homework requirement with all Visual Art subjects. This course provides the essential foundations necessary for ongoing success in Senior Design, Painting, Photography and Sculpture.
