This course is aimed at non native speakers of chinese who already have a prior knowledge of basic Chinese. The focus is on extending students’ ability to communicate effectively in Chinese, with equal emphasis on reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students will also study more about Chinese culture and customs as an integral part of the course. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a social action that supports a social justice and human rights project in China.

14 credits that are internally assessed and 10 credits that are externally assessed. Course endorsement is possible in L1 Chinese. An additional 4 credits are offered from a Social Action standard.
