This course follows on from 10SSC and leads to L2HST

Students will develop an understanding of the causes, consequences and perspectives of events of significance to New Zealanders through the study of 20th Century topics that have shaped the lives of people and society. Topics may include: • World War Two: origins, key battles, the home front and the atomic bomb • Racism and civil rights in the USA (1954-68) • Brown Power in New Zealand (1970s): Ngā Tamatoa and the Polynesian Panthers • The Korean War.
