The aim of this course is to introduce students to manual and computer methods of recording accounting data and to provide them with a clear basic understanding of financial reports and their components. The course will assist students to understand the accounting principles and processes involved in designing an accounting system, accounting for cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and property, plant and equipment. Students will prepare and analyse financial statements. This course will benefit students in any career they choose.
