Performing Arts

This course follows on from L1DRA and leads to L3DRA

This subject is offered to students who have a strong interest in the Performing Arts. The course includes taking part in the class production, the study of a theatre form, and the study of acting technique. Emphasis will be placed on the practical and performance aspects of Drama. Students will be expected to take part in class workshop situations. Written reflection and analysis are important parts of the course. Trips to live theatre performances are a requirement for the external exam.

13 credits that are internally assessed and 8 credits that are externally assessed Course endorsement is possible in L2 Drama 21 credits towards Level 1 Literacy 13R, 4W, 4 B credits to UE literacy (R/W/B) This course leads to a university approved course
