The course covers 3 major areas: • The study of natural processes at work in the local environment. Coastal processes are the focus of our work. Local area field work is completed during this topic • Tourism as an example of a cultural process in New Zealand. This is studied with a 3 day trip to Rotorua • Selecting and applying skills and important geographic ideas. Field work is an integral part of the course and assessment. Students must be able to go on these field trips.
