This course aims to develop students financial capability and gain some knowledge and skills in Accounting, Business and Economics. The emphasis at this level is on individual students, their whanau and small business. It will enable students to understand how the individual makes economic and financial decisions. It is aimed at helping them gain the skills needed to manage their personal limited means. This will allow students to participate more effectively in their daily lives as consumers and workers. Students will learn basic accounting concepts, how households behave in a collective way and discover that enterprise and entrepreneurship exist in many forms in their own community.
