Global Studies (Languages)

This course leads to L1MAO

This course builds on the foundation culture and language aspects introduced in Year 9, with the expectation of the learning being bilingual.  Broader contexts are explored and there is an expectation that students participate fully in the practical components, such as Kī o Rahi and waka ama. Units include Te Titiri o Waitangi (The Treaty), Māori occupation of Tāmaki, Toi Māori (Māori Art) and Kai Māori (Māori food).
