Kapa Haka

Kia ora and welcome to your cultural experience. Kapa haka is involved in school powhiri to other schools and cultures. The group runs workshops for International Students and local primary schools. It also performs for Matariki (North Shore Secondary Schools), Kapa haka celebration days, and at ‘Polyfest’. Students are involved in workshops to learn specialities like poi and taiaha and to create their own poi. Practices are one day after school each week. You do not have to be Ma¯ori to join this wha¯nau.
