Train students’ scientific thinking and researching skills. Enriching students understanding to the front-line research areas.

Y9-Y13 students.

Yearly plan (brief):

Weekly meeting (S14) + Self project work time

Term 1 focuses:

External speakers sharing and different research areas understanding.

Basic teaching on nature of science.

Term 2 focuses:

Topic selection, research work, discussion, grouping.

Could consider mini-experimental research or case-studying (depending how much budget I can raise….)

3 min- conference as a “Checkpoint”.

Term 3 focuses:

Writing up and creating scientific level reports, literature reviews, presentations. (self-selection of the students)

Term 3/ 4 focuses:

Mini-conference and prize (Science department selection).
