College renovations and relocations

During the Term Three holidays, the refurbishment of the school’s Administration Block commenced. The Senior Leadership Team, Administration and Student Support Services staff have been relocated within the school. It is anticipated the renovations will be completed by the end of Term One, 2021. The work, which is almost entirely funded by the Ministry of Education, is long overdue. Changes to A Block include a new roof, new window and door joinery, new cladding, new canopies for shelter and an improved reception area, among other great changes. We are delighted our community will soon have an enhanced entrance to our school which reflects the high quality education provided within our school.

The significant changes and relocations for our external community are as follows:

Reception
Now relocated to the Function Room area of A Block (bottom floor of the building with the sign, ‘Long Bay College’). All visitors and guests are requested to report to reception on arrival and our helpful staff will assist you with getting to be where you need to be.

Student Centre, Counsellors, Physiotherapist and Deans
Student support services have been relocated to the prefab buildings along the schools main drive, horizontal to the fields. Any students needing to sign in or out of school will now attend this new location in A5. The Deans are located in A6.

Medical Room
The school Medical Attendant is now located off the hallway in the Auditorium.

International Department
The international team will remain in the same location at the back of the Administration Block, next to the Function Room.

Cashier
Our cashier will be located next to the International Department in lower A Block.

At the end of the month, we are excited to open our brand new, state of the art wood technology space. This fantastic facility, which has been completely rebuilt after the area was ravaged by a fire in 2017, will be a welcome boost for our Wood Technology teacher, Mr Evans, and his outstanding department.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time of improvement.
