The Long Bay College Football Boys 1st XI played Western Springs College on Friday, May 18.  Western Springs scored inside the first 5 minutes but two goals by Long Bay’s Franco Staricco Laventure gave Long Bay a 2-1 lead at half-time. Within 35 seconds of the restart, Long Bay attacked and was awarded a penalty which Long Bay’s Sam Brown duly converted. They had to wait until the 31st minute for another goal when Bailey Gill extended the lead to 4-1. Western Springs pulled a goal back during injury time but Long Bay retained their unbeaten start to the season winning 4-2. Well done boys!
