Our former student and staff member Georgia Hale has been selected to the final three for the 2020 Young New Zealander of the Year awards .  Georgia’s efforts in the community supporting people with intellectual disabilities through her work with the New Zealand Warriors has been recognised.

“I am so humbled to be in this position and rubbing shoulders with the others who have been nominated in this category,” says Georgia.

Now a rugby league star, the 2013 graduate from Long Bay College says she remembers her time at school like it was yesterday and loved it from ‘go to whoa’. “There were so many people around who supported not just me but everyone. It’s a great school to be a part of. You know everyone and their families and we had great connections with the teachers.” Read more …
